6.400,00$ Normal Fiyat

This one-of-a-kind, Second Temple menorah. It is designed for oil burning. The branches are diagonal or straight. This is often referred to as the "Chabad" style menorah based on the teachings of Maimonides (Talmud, Menachot chapter 3).

The metal is cast aluminum that was poured into hand-made sand molds at the foundry. The gold finish is bright.  The total weight is approximately 110 pounds. A video link will be provided for simple assembly with one screwdriver and wrench.

Since this is a hand-made work there will be very minor imperfections due to the molten metal poured into old-world sand molds. I can send you a video link to observe the process. I can send you pictures of your menorah before you decide.

The issue concerns properly translating the Hebrew word, קָנֶה (kaw-neh’). Qaneh translated into English is used to describe a stalk of grain (Genesis 41:5, 22) or a water plant/reed (1 Kings 14:15, Isaiah 19:6; 35:7) or an aromatic reed (Exodus 30:23, Isaiah 43:24, Ezekiel 27:19). The stalks of these plants grow straight in nature rather than curved. Below notice the main shaft or stem of the Papyrus reeds.
